Have your say on the future of the North Stoke recreation field

This small piece of common land is owned by the Parish Council. Historically it has been used as a playing field, but in recent years it has received little attention apart from cutting the grass and the fine new coronation bench. The Parish Council is committed to managing this land as a community asset to benefit local residents. Following the 2021 Environment Act, all Councils are now also required to consider measures to enhance biodiversity on their land. Here are some options for how it could be managed.  Do you have a preference?

Your responses will help the Council decide on the best course to follow.

You will appreciate that returning the field to a recreation purpose like football would bring high capital and operating costs and we would need to be sure that it would be well used. You can fill out the form online here: The online survey can be found here https://forms.gle/tsqG1N7s3Dc9XL468 You will also have received a copy of the questionnaire through your door.

You may return by post to Zazie Carruthers at 1 The Street, Briar Cottage, North Stoke, Ox10 6BL
or send an electronic copy by email to the Clerk of Crowmarsh Parish Council: [email protected].

Thank you for taking part.
